If there’s one job you need to get right the first time, it’s directing wastewater. Using materials like PE and PVC, we’re able to install gravity lot connections to bulk gravity mains at any and every depth. Plus, we can also make sure the flow runs smoothly with bulk pressure mains, low pressure sewer and vacuum sewer systems, on top of various pump stations.

Roading
We’ve worked on everything from private subdivisions to NZTA rated arterial roads and national roads of significant importance. Stormwater
Wetlands, running streams, and everything in between – we’ve had experience with stormwater management in every kind of sensitive environment. The project team raised risks ahead of time and provided solutions and costs/impacts for client review.
Many lessons were learned on Harapaki, and the site team learned quickly and invested heavily into ensuring everyone onsite got home safely and without serious injury.
Following the devastating impact of Cyclone Gabrielle, our rural roads in Dartmoor were left heavily damaged and impassable, cutting off vital access for residents, farmers, and emergency services. From the outset, the Hicks team stepped in with professionalism, urgency, and genuine care for our community. The Hicks team has worked tirelessly to stabilise slips, and rebuild key sections of the Dartmoor road network. Communication was excellent throughout the process, and they consistently went the extra mile to minimise disruption to local residents. The quality of the repair work has been outstanding – built not just to restore, but to better withstand future events. We are deeply grateful for their commitment and expertise. Their efforts have been instrumental in helping Dartmoor recover and reconnect after such a difficult time. Working within Contact Energy’s safety rules and standards, as there was some operational plant around the site, was an increase in safety requirements to what I would say the industry standards are.
