Milldale, a sprawling 300-hectare development, envisions a community with 4500 homes, a town center, restored stream corridors, reserves, schools, a retirement village, and local neighborhood centers. Hick Bros has undertaken the responsibility for bulk earthworks and civil construction across 9 distinct contracts within this ambitious project. Skillfully managing the complexities of material mixing and moisture control, the team successfully moved over 2 million cubic meters of earth, adhering to stringent specifications.

Implementing rigorous environmental control measures, including real-time monitoring of ponds and streams, enabled Hick Bros to secure winter works approvals, ensuring the timely execution of the earthworks program. Civil construction components encompassed roading networks, concrete works, stormwater and wastewater systems, streetscape enhancements, and utilities installation. Furthermore, infrastructure contracts included the construction of a wastewater pump station, incorporating associated electrical components, and the installation of a ductile iron pressure system into the rising main.
