Overview of Hick Bros

Hick Bros was founded in Silverdale back in 1986. It began with four brothers and a passion for moving dirt. Sure, it sounds simple enough, but when you start to understand how the earth works, it becomes more of a science. One that we’ve spent nearly 40 years perfecting.

Since then, we’ve become a leading specialist in earthmoving, soil engineering and civil construction. Our experience has given us an intimate knowledge of New Zealand’s geological conditions. And in turn, we’ve built a reputation for our specialised construction techniques in all major infrastructure, commercial and residential land development industries.

Throughout our years, we’ve acquired a fleet of heavy machinery. But while the equipment conquers the payload, it’s our tight-knit team who bring the real value.

We’re proud our success stories are plenty within Hick Bros. We’ve had three generations working together at the same time. Our exec team all started on the shovels. And no one in the company is above pitching in across the board. We invest in our team, because they pay dividends to our clients.

See the amazing work we’ve done here. Or if you want to have a chat, go here.

She’s no small feat, but we want to be the leading provider of value-added engineering solutions on major infrastructure projects and land development works throughout New Zealand.

To offer these services through safe, sustainable and ethical practices. Ones that respect the environment, our team, the community, and the long-standing relationships we form with clients along the way.

Our work tends to speak for itself. We collaborate, innovate, and add value. We treat everything and everyone with integrity and respect. Our work is held to the highest standards. But if problems do ever arise, we take accountability.

Hick Bros fleet and workshop

You don’t spend this long in the industry without having the right set of tools, or the abilities to fix them when something goes wrong.

Fleet

We’ve spent years collecting, maintaining and updating our fleet of heavy machinery to ensure we can resource worksites of any size.

5 to 60 tonne excavators; articulated dump trucks; 615 and 623 elevated scrapers; bulldozers and scoops; trucking and heavy haulage transport – All ready to get to work at a moment’s notice.

Workshop

Of course, the tools are only as good as the people who maintain them. We’ve got a team of fully certified diesel mechanics to guarantee our Hick Bros vehicles, heavy machinery and equipment all remain in peak working order.

Our main branch also has a large maintenance facility, along with mobile service vehicles and the capabilities to establish site specific facilities for long term projects.
